Advantages of Digital Radiology
• Reduction in radiation exposure of about 70-80 percent compared to
Conventional Radiography (film-type x-rays).
• Dentist and patient can have immediate assessment of the x-ray images. This is
important during procedures like surgeries, root canal treatment, fitting of
crowns to see if there are overhangs, for periodontal cases, for ORTHODONTIC
